Is Conan O’Brien looking for a back-up job? He’s going to be presiding over a marriage ceremony on his show when it tapes in New York at the Beacon Theater next week. The marriage will be between a member of his staff and his partner. Yes, it’s a gay wedding…there would be no ratings boosting controversy if it wasn’t, right. Here’s hoping the couples’ feelings towards each other are far more genuine than this wedding stunt.
Speaking of something to celebrate
Remember what you got for your first birthday? Yep, no ever really does unless of course you’re Sandra Bullock’s son and you’re never allowed to touch the gift until you’re in your twenties at least. That’s because little Louis Bullock got from Sandra’s agent a $14,000 Andy Warhol “Peaches” print. Um, when Sandy said little Lou liked “peaches” I think she meant to eat not hang on the wall. Seriously, it was a nice gift as the kid won’t remember but the money spent of the print went to benefit amFAR’s AIDS research.
Not speaking of being good
What happened to Usher? As healthy as “Mr. 1,000 Crunches” is why on earth would he park in a handicap spot?!? Apparently, I’m not the only one surprised by it! According to TMZ a women in the parking lot saw what he was doing and confronted him. She may have gone a bit too far as supposedly while he was still in the driver’s seat she shook up a beer and sprayed it at him. The witness told TMZ, Usher then grabbed a water bottle and splashed her back ... so she kicked his driver's side door until he exited the vehicle and confronted her. A friend of the woman’s pulled her out of there and Usher escorted himself out of there not too long after. The scary part is the whole parking drama was because there was a Halloween Parade happening in the area…aren’t they supposed to be fun!?!
