Starting out with some scary news…Yesterday afternoon Heather Locklear was taken to the hospital. The former Melrose Place, and Spin City star as well as Tommy Lee and Richie Sambora ex-wife had an apparent prescription medication and alcohol mix which is never a good thing. Her sister called for the ambulance but it was her parents that announced today that, “She is in no danger and she’s going to be fine.” No word on whether this was an accident or deliberate choice.

Speaking of being on the mend

It looks like Adele is recovering well from throat surgery she had back in November. She is expected to perform at an awards show next month. Even though she’s up for six Grammys and only three BRIT awards she will most likely only be able to perform at the the BRIT’s because they are on the 21^st instead of the Grammys that are on the 12^th . The extra week and a half of vocal rest should benefit her greatly.

Speaking of performing at big events

She was the first American Idol and now Kelly Clarkson is about to be the third AI to perform the national anthem prior to Super Bowl.  Considering how well Carrie Underwood and Jordin Sparks did before it should be a wonderful performance for the Super Bowl in Indianapolis on February 5.

Speaking of things to come

This is kind of sad but seems like it might be a good idea. There is a new Facebook ap that enables you to leave a farewell after you’ve gone to the great beyond. It’s called “If I Die”. You can download the ap create your message and then designate some of your friends as “Facebook trustees” that will post it after you’ve gone. Heads-up if you are thinking about making a prank message while you try it out, you will almost guarantee you get hit by a truck tomorrow!

Beyonce baby blues, Bethenny's baby worry and Titanic is back

Over the weekend Beyoncé gave birth to a healthy baby girl she and Jay-Z named, Blue Ivy. The name Ivy supposedly comes from their fondness for the number 4 and in Roman numerals that’s of course IV. As for the child’s first name, Blue, and the first pictures of the baby we’re not recommending holding your breathe on that as this is the same couple that waited years to even confirm they were married.

Speaking of babies

Rumor has it after the upcoming season is over, Bethenny Frankel, is going to pull the plug on her “Bethenny Ever After” reality show because shocker…she’s concerned about her daughter growing up on TV. Of course others are saying it has more to do with the ever growing number of law suits (from how much rent she paid at a place to what’s really in her drink) and they are having to work so much harder to make-up interesting things happening in her life, the phony boat drama for one.

Speaking of things coming back

The Disney animation movies have been making a ton coming back in 3D so why shouldn’t the man who put 3D back on the map hit a little pay-dirt with a 3D return as well. He did well with “Avatar” in 3D so now James Cameron is going to bring back the effect with his other blockbuster “Titanic”. It’s set to hit theaters (pun not intended) on April 6^th to commemorate the 100^th anniversary of the sinking of the ship…

2.5 marriages are over and ones about to begin

Well it’s been a while since we’ve “gotten our gossip-on” so let’s catch-up…Russell Brand and Katy Perry are ending their marriage, sad, but kind of saw that one coming.

 Speaking of calling it quits

Didn’t exactly see this one coming as I never really saw these two together in the first place! But…Following the plotline of a Star Is Born, just as New Girl star Zooey Deschanel, starts making it really big in her career, her 2 year marriage to Death Cab for Cutie singer, Ben Gibbard, comes to an end.  

Speaking of seeing things

Supposedly, the rumors are floating again that Will and Jada Pinkett Smith are ready to file for divorce. This time around the proof is that she has supposedly been seen at a high profile divorce lawyer’s office. Hmm, she couldn’t be researching a movie role?!?

Speaking of relationships

 Justin Timberlake has apparently proposed to Jessica Biel. While I wouldn’t wish divorce on anyone…um, perhaps you two should hold-off on having kids. Has Vegas set “odds” on them, yet? I’m in for a double Kim K term, just shy of 6 months!?!

Margie Maybe is called to duty

Well the kids are going back to school, so tomorrow I should be able to give you a snarky look at “celebrity doings”, right? But alas a jury duty summons has arrived and this time around I am not hugely pregnant making it impossible to sit through a trial (a good thing as that’s happened twice to me before!) While, I am anxious that the case I get assigned to will be boring or gruesome it is after all a civic duty and I feel privileged to do it. No, it’s not something I’m thrilled to be doing but when I think about how many times we say we want to “Honor Our Veterans” by making sure we go, “vote” as that is a right they fought for us to have; Isn’t having a “jury of one’s peers” also in the same vein? So until my duty has been completed I wish you well and look forward to getting back to the usual trivial gossiping that usually fills my blog!
